Dissolver of sugar, dissolve me,
if this is the time.
Do it gently with a touch of a hand, or a look.
Every morning I wait at dawn. That's when
it's happened before. Or do it suddenly
like an execution. How else
can I get ready for death?

You breathe without a body like a spark.
You grieve, and I begin to feel lighter.
You keep me away with your arm,
but the keeping away is pulling me in.

Pale sunlight,
pale the wall.

Love moves away.
The light changes.

I need more grace
than I thought.

"The spirit of resistance to government is so valuable on certain occasions, that I wish it to be always kept alive. It will often be exercised when wrong, but better so than not to be exercised at all. I like a little rebellion now and then. It is like a storm in the atmosphere."

"The heart at the center of the universe with every throb hurls the flood of happiness into every artery, vein and veinlet, so that the whole system is inundated with tides of joy. The plenty of the poorest place is too great; the harvest cannot be gathered. Every sound ends in music. The edge of every surface is tinged with prismatic rays."

"I'll tell you what classical music is -- for those of you who don't know. Classical music is this music that was written by a bunch of dead people a long time ago. And it's formula music, the same as top forty music is formula music. In order to have a piece be classical, it has to conform to academic standards that were the current norms of that day and age ... I think that people are entitled to be amused, and entertained. If they see deviations from this classical norm, it's probably good for their mental health."

The tragedy of life doesn't lie in not reaching your goal. The tragedy lies in having no goal to reach. It isn't a calamity to die with dreams unfulfilled, but it is a calamity not to dream.... It is not a disgrace not to reach the stars, but it is a disgrace to have no stars to reach for. Not failure, but low aim is sin.

THE NEW RULE

It's the old rule that drunks have to argue and get into fights.
The lover is just as bad. He falls into a hole.
But down that hole he finds something shining,
worth more than any amount of money or power.

Last night the moon came dropping its clothes in the street.
I took it as a sign to start singing, falling up into the bowl of sky.
The bowl breaks. Everywhere is falling everywhere.
Nothing else to do.

Here's the new rule: break the wineglass,
and fall toward the glassblower's breath.

The U.N. won`t do it, the H-bomb won`t do it,

And God won`t do it,
And I certainly won`t do it
That leaves you, you`ll have to do it.

A Taste of V11 Video

Stills from the forthcoming DVD.

QuickTime [large = 220MB] approx. 9 minutes of raw video, resized, compressed for web, otherwise unedited.

MP4 QuickTime [more compressed, slightly lower quality, fewer calories, less filling, better gas mileage, no aftertaste, only 22MB]

Enjoy.

Bird Island Video/Audio

From the Peace Conspiracy Festival 2006

Set 1 - Complete QuickTime 7 H.264 codec required, ~44 mins, ~64MB

Set 2 - Partial QuickTime 7 H.264 codec required, ~30 min., ~46MB.

The Set 1 video is the same posted yesterday in the other thread. The Set 2 is new; the letterboxing didn't work for some bizarre reason but here it is anyway, in glorious SCRUFFORAMA. Again, this camera was not really intended as anything other than a feed to the computer FX system, so please don't judge the video quality too harshly. We have three other video sources we will integrate into any finished pieces.

I'll get audio posted in this thread ASAP but it may be later this week.

UPDATE 1

Set 1 MP3 128k, 41MB

Set 2 MP3 128k, 27MB

Wrap your head around THAT. Set 2 stops kind of abruptly, look to the Laz for better mixes.

Enjoy.

UPDATE 2

Firecam Excerpts QuickTime 7 H.264 codec required, ~34 min., ~55MB.

Cooper's Landing September 2005 - V11 Set 2 Video

I completed this minimal assembly edit June 2 while in Cape Girardeau and played it during the Fountain Street Gallery presentation to positive response - now available here in compressed QuickTime 7 H.264 format, the main body of Set 2 during which Cecil endures his initiation, his Arkestration, so to speak... enjoy, here's a longer version as promised.

V11 Set Two QuickTime 7 H.264 codec required, 308MB (DANGER! Will Robinson!!! DANGER!!!).

Thanks again to Pam Forbes for the great videography, Missouri River Cultural Conservancy, Scott Wilson and CAT3 for equipment. This edit uses the original camera audio, which is surprisingly decent; watch this space for info on later versions with full 16-track sound per the CD mix plus additional Scott Wilson footage and special effects.
